Pass boxes
Inoxytech designs and produces active and passive cleanroom pass boxes and trolleys for hygienic and controlled material transfer. With our transfer hatches, you reduce staff movements and minimize the risk of contamination. Each pass box is manufactured in stainless steel and finished according to the applicable standards, with attention to detail, easy installation, and personalized service.
The importance of pass boxes in the pharmaceutical and medical sector
A pass box, also called a transfer hatch, transfer hatch, or pass through hatch, forms a controlled transition between spaces with different levels of purity. You move materials without entering the cleanroom each time and without disrupting the pressure differentials. Personnel movements are minimized, reducing the chance of contamination. The pressure hierarchy is maintained, and your process remains protected. In environments where precision and hygiene are key, a well-thought-out pass box is essential.
Active or passive pass box, which suits your application?
Passive pass box
There is no ventilation (supply/extract) or filtering provided in the passive or static pass box.
Active pass box
With an active or dynamic pass box, the supply air is filtered through a HEPA filter (H13 or H14), which is flat integrated into the passbox (and is easily replaceable). Extraction is also possible, for example, to create a negative pressure. Another option is to neutralize the overpressure through an adjustable door grille. Both the supply and extraction channels are not visibly integrated into the passbox. The positioning of the connections of the supply and extraction can be determined in the design phase.
In environments where every transfer poses a potential risk, a correctly designed pass box makes the difference between control and contamination.
